Cornelia C. Church, the daughter of a Connecticut whaling captain, went to Pasadena in 1890 with her mother, S. (Sarah) F. French. Edith Rand is Church's niece and French's granddaughter. Alice, another granddaughter, lives with Cornelia, but moves out in 1913. French owns rental property in Pasadena and lots in Inglewood.
